Niamh was named in honour of Fainne's mother who passed away when Fainne was little. She lives with her family on the sacred island called the Needle. She has inherited her mother's magic gift and studies with her in order to preserve the celtic belief in the Túatha Dé Danann. Fainne is conscious of giving Niamh time to play games, swim and play music with her father and brother. Fainne does not believe that her daughter will ever be able to leave the island as she has to uphold the sacred trust and beliefs.
